XS Direct

Regulated and authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland and with offices in both Ireland and the UK, XS Direct offers lower premiums to provide traditionally more costly cover by sharing the risk with the motorist. With about one in twenty drivers making a claim on their insurance, XS believes that judging a customer by their past rather than their future is backwards thinking. Instead, the firm offers you lower initial premiums by accepting much higher excesses against your policy.

The company believes in building trust with its customers. By offering cheaper upfront costs, this is achieved by sharing the risk of a claim.

XS Direct car insurance is a fully comprehensive policy and is available to drivers with zero or little ‘no claims’ bonus.

The standard policy allows up to four named drivers to use the vehicle and is available for holders of provisional and full Irish licences, as well as full licences from across the EU, Japan, Canada, USA, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

The policy excess starts at €3,000 and is offered under the terms of social, domestic, pleasure and commuting use. Due to the high cost of the excess, this type of policy is not recommended for vehicles with a value of less than €3,000.

Windscreen cover can be arranged for an additional cost of €40.
