Sunday marks the beginning of Cork's 2019 Munster and All Ireland Hurling Championship campaign when the team take on Tipperary in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The countdown from August 2018 is well and truly over as John Meyler and his team are back on the hunt for the Liam McCarthy cup.

Cork will be looking to defend their provincial crown for the third year in a row as they take on Tipperary, Limerick, Waterford and Clare over the coming weeks. This will all culminate in the final which will take place on Sunday 30th June.

This Sunday is guaranteed to be a gripping match as Tipperary looks to redeem themselves after a shock exit from the Munster Hurling Championship last year. Cork and Tipperary have gone head to head in the Hurling Championship on 82 occasions in total and have 39 wins and 7 draws under their belt.

With crowds of up to 30,000 expected to descend on Páirc Uí Chaoimh it is bound to be an exciting curtain raiser to the team’s Championship campaign. Everyone here at Chill will be glued to their screens, radios and social media from 4PM on Sunday to cheer on the Rebels. Don't forget to share your support for the team using #rebelsabu and #CorkGAA19 across all your social channels.
