Chill Insurance (part of TRG Group) is currently on the lookout for a Full Stack .NET Developer to join our Team.

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining our core web applications. This role involves working across the full technology stack, from backend C# services and databases to modern front-end frameworks. You will leverage modern cloud services in Azure, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality, reliable technical solutions.

Chill Insurance is an online insurance intermediary regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. We are members of the Brokers Ireland and carry Professional Indemnity Insurance. We've been in business since 2007 (formerly insureme.ie) and re-branded as Chill Insurance in May 2008. We pride ourselves on our three main pillars; Search, Talk and Claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete development tasks in a timely fashion in line with expected delivery dates.
  • Actively monitor and continuously improve the availability and uptime of services, using tools like Application Insights.
  • Provide support for existing developments in a timely fashion/within SLAs, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Support the development of business requirements and process improvements by collaborating with business stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and Angular.
  • Build and manage cloud-native solutions in Azure, utilizing services like App Services, Function Apps, and Cosmos DB.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database designs in SQL Server.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage them in cloud environments.
  • Support other developers, promoting best practices in coding and quality.

Experience & Qualifications- Must Haves

Experience: professional experience as a Full Stack .NET Developer.

Languages & Frameworks:

  • Expertise in C#, .NET Core.
  • Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, & CSS3.

Database: Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (including Azure SQL Database).~

Cloud: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.

Tools & Concepts:

  • Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio.
  • Source control with Git and GitHub.
  • Project tracking with Jira Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles.

Nice-to-Haves

Deep Azure Knowledge
  • Compute/Hosting: Container Apps, App Services, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Static Web Apps.
  • Data: Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Storage Accounts (Blob Storage).
  • Security & Identity: Managed Identity, Certificates and authentications.
  • Monitoring: Application Insights, Alerts.
Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker.

Networking Concepts: Clear understanding of general networking, CDN, DNS and firewalls.

Methodologies: Agile/Scrum.
