Risk Specialist


Chill Insurance is currently on the lookout for a Risk Specialist to join our Team. The successful candidate will work closely and report directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance in promoting a best in class risk culture, supporting the implementation of the risk management framework across the business. The role is full-time and based in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the risk management framework across Chill.
  • Support senior management in identifying, monitoring, managing and reporting risks.
  • Carry out regular reviews and enhancements to the Company’s risk management framework to meet the needs of a growing business.
  • Provide day to day advice, support and challenge to all functions on risk management matters.
  • Work with management to identify key risks and mitigating controls. Identify quantitative measures for each risk together with limits against which exposure to risk can be measured.
  • Maintain and develop risk reporting, including monitoring of risk appetite statement metrics.
  • Maintain and develop the risk register process.
  • Manage annual risk policy cycle including policy adherence reviews.
  • Conduct risk monitoring reviews across all business activities.
  • Deliver risk management training.
  • Produce risk management papers for the Board / Risk Committee as required.
  • Provide risk support for key business project.

Experience Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial services firm ideally in a risk/audit role.
  • Qualified accountant desirable or suitable 3rd Level Qualification in a Business discipline
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and research skills
  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent presentation skills
