Buildings Insurance

Generally, may be defined as the main structure of the Private House and includes garages, sheds, greenhouses and other outbuildings, walls, footpaths, gates, hedges, fences, aerials, satellite aerials and their fittings and masts, including landlords fixtures and fittings to the building, fitted wooden or laminated flooring, kitchen, bathroom or bedroom units and their integrated appliances all on the same site. Swimming Pools and tennis courts are also generally included. Any part of the structure, ceilings, fixtures and fittings are also covered under this section.

Contents Insurance

Contents may generally be defined as household goods (including white goods) and personal effects of every description, belonging to the insured or a family member living in the property.

Generally it can be said that if you turn your home upside down, what falls out should be insured under the contents section of your home insurance.
